U.S. Citizen Services
Welcome to US Citizen Services
Embassy Majuro serves the American community in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). Approximately 2,500 U.S. citizens reside in the country. Several hundred Americans visit the Marshall Islands each year for business and pleasure. The American Citizen Services (ACS) section issues passports and reports of birth and death for Americans in the RMI, as well as providing notarial services. ACS also assists U.S. citizens in distress, such as those arrested or destitute. It maintains a list of doctors and attorneys for reference.
Online Appointments for Passports, Reports of Birth Abroad, and Notarials!
In order to better serve you, American Citizen Services in Embassy Majuro has moved to an online appointment-only system for passport and notarial services. This allows for a smoother, more predictable visit to the embassy, as well as cutting down on the time you spend waiting for appointments. Please read the Passports, Report Birth Abroad, or notary information page before booking your appointment.
Please note that appointments are required for all routine ACS services. Our hours of operation for routine ACS issues are Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. For more information regarding appointments, and to make an appointment, please click here.
